Welcome to the
State
of Texas Employee Exit Survey
Thank you for taking the time to complete the State of Texas Employee Exit Survey.
This system provides employees, who voluntarily separate from employment with a state agency, an opportunity to provide feedback. Higher education institutions are not required to, and do not use, this exit survey.
Your feedback is important and helps us better understand why employees leave, so we can work to improve workplaces across state agencies. Each year, the State Auditor's Office reviews summary results to identify trends and share insights on employee turnover statewide.
Getting Started
To begin, you will need an access code provided by your agency. The survey takes approximately 5 to 15 minutes to complete.
Note: If you haven't received your access code, or if it isn't working, please contact your agency for assistance.
Confidentiality
Your responses are confidential and are protected by Texas Government Code, Section 651.007. Identifiable individual survey results will not be shared with the public.
Your agency's HR department will receive quarterly summary reports, which include aggregate, or combined, data and any comments provided in the survey response. These reports do not link any of the comments to a specific individual’s survey response.
At the end of the survey, you can select to share your individual survey response (including comments) with:
- the Governor of Texas,
- your agency's executive officer, or
- both the Governor of Texas and your agency's executive officer.
Alternatively, you may select to not share your individual response with either the Governor of Texas or your agency's executive officer. Only those you select will be able to see your individual survey response (including comments) and not just the summary data.
Take the Survey
You may use your access code only once. Please note that your session will expire after 90 minutes of inactivity, and your responses will not be saved. If this happens, you will need to contact your agency's human resources department to request a new access code.
Once the survey is submitted, you cannot change your answers. Make sure to review your responses before you submit them.
By proceeding, you acknowledge and accept the Terms & Conditions for using the SAO applications on this site.
