Course Description

Students will learn advanced functions and cleanup tools to help structure their data in a more meaningful way to be analyzed. Students will be introduced to Power Query and learn how to connect to data and use the Power Query platform to transform their data and load it into Excel, and use Pivot tables on connected data. The session will also include recommended practices for Pivot tables and Power Query.


Potential CPE Credits: 4.0
Technical Hours: This class meets 4.0 CPE credits of technical training in compliance with Texas Admin. Code Rule 523.102.

Prerequisites

  • Basic to Intermediate knowledge of Excel is helpful.

Steve Blaylock is a seasoned Microsoft Excel and data analytics instructor with over 20 years of experience teaching Microsoft technologies to enterprise and professional audiences. A Microsoft-certified Excel expert, Steve has delivered hands-on training for leading organizations including Comcast, NBC Studios, and Wawa, helping teams turn data into actionable insight.

Steve brings deep, real-world expertise in data analytics using Excel, with a particular focus on Power Query for data transformation and analysis. He has traveled extensively across the United States delivering Power Query training to organizations such as Ernst and Young, where he guided professionals in transforming and analyzing complex financial and operational datasets.
